Declaration in respect of data protection and data security

We support the protection of our users' privacy. We make use of personal data only in accordance with the following declaration made in respect of data protection and data security (privacy policy).

Data protection laws
As a non-public sector entity, we are subject to the provisions of the German Federal Data Protection Act. In order to protect your rights, we have instituted technical and organisational measures and ensured that the regulations relating to data protection are also followed by external service providers who participate in this offer. Your data may only be processed to the extent that special laws permit this or your agreement has been granted.

Data storage
In connection with your access to our website, and for the purpose of data security, data which may permit identification are stored temporarily on our server (in particular the IP address, date, time of day, the pages called up, actions carried out, the web page previously called up, the browser which was used, and the operating system). No evaluation takes place, except in an anonymised way for statistical purposes.

Data transfer via the internet
Telecommunications secrecy also protects the contents of your emails and form data entries against unauthorised access and processing by third parties. However, we must advise you that data transfer via the internet is not secure. The possibility cannot be excluded that transferred data may be taken note of by unauthorised third parties and possibly even falsified or deleted. If you wish to avoid the risk connected with the transfer of data, you can send us your suggestions, wishes and proposals by email, fax or mail to the company address listed in the legal notice.

Emails
If you send us an email, you must always assume that the contents of the email itself and its attachments can be read, falsified or deleted by unauthorised third parties. In order to avoid this risk, you may prefer to contact OKIN by means of a letter.

Users' rights
On application, in accordance with para. 34, section 1 of the German Federal Data Protection Act, you have the right to obtain, free of charge, information regarding the personal data stored about you. Furthermore, in accordance with the legal provisions, you have a right to have your personal data corrected, blocked and deleted.
