New strucure of OKIN and DEWERT
In February 2009, the Phoenix Mecano Group/Switzerland acquired the divisions Office, Seating and Bedding of OKIN.
Even more than before and together with DEWERT, OKIN will specialise in the different market applications under the umbrella of the Phoenix Mecano Group and improve the product and
service range for the customers. Thus, effective July 1, 2009, the organisations of DEWERT and OKIN have been reorganised:
Similar to “DEWERT“, the “OKIN“-brand is well-established in the furniture sector. To provide a clear market orientation for the customers, the Furniture divisions of OKIN and DEWERT have been united under the OKIN brand exclusively. Therefore, OKIN Motion Technologies GmbH has integrated the Sales of the former DEWERT “Home” division into their Furniture Sales division (Office, Seating, Bedding). In doing so, we will further increase our competitiveness in this field.
The “DEWERT“-brand concentrates on the Care (Medical) sector exclusively. Thanks to this clear positioning, DEWERT will improve upon their successful market activities in the “Care“ (Medical) sector and, in doing so, further develop their existing market position.
Due to this, we achieve a very distinct positioning of both brands:
OKIN stands for Furniture and Comfort technology,
DEWERT for Medicine and Care technology.
Both our customers and ourselves will benefit from this new structure:
- Responsibilities, contact persons and tasks are clearly defined
- OKIN and DEWERT will concentrate and further specialise on their target markets
- Both divisions can develop independently with and in their markets
Purchase orders for the Furniture division will be solely accepted by OKIN Motion Technologies GmbH from July 01, 2009, purchase orders for the Medical/Care division by DEWERT Antriebs- und Systemtechnik GmbH.
