Removing a dual drive for servicing

So called sliding covers are located on the left and right in the housing cover. These can be pulled sideways out of the drive. When the sliding covers are open, the knuckle pins are visible and the drive can be pressed out of the bracket from underneath. Since the sliding covers must reliable engage, they may prove somewhat difficult to release. Take care the drive does not fall down when pressing it out of the brackets.

Caution:
Before removing, allow all the sections of the bed to return to the home position. Otherwise the moveable parts of the piece of furniture might fall back uncontrollably after removal of the drive and cause serious injury.
